Cleanse & Charge your Jade
You may do this once a month or when you notice your Jade looking dull & lacklustre. Jadeite possesses both yin & yang energy. It benefits from both sunlight & moonlight energy charging.
Cleansing (4 methods)
- Salt Water
Soak your Jade overnight in rock/sea salt water to wash away any negative/unwanted energy. Rinse the Jade under running water to wash away any remaining salt residue.
- Crystal Geode/Cluster (Cleanse + Charge)
You may also cleanse your Jade by placing them inside an Amethyst Geode overnight or for 24-48 hours. Both Clear Quartz Geode & Amethyst Geode are equally effective. What the Quartz/Amethyst does is to absorb the energies from the Jade, neutralise them and then release the good energy back into the Jade.
- Smudging
Burn either smudge sticks (sage, sandalwood or cedarwood) or incense sticks and allow the smoke to envelop the Jade for 20-30 seconds. The smoke will cleanse the stored energies, removing bad & built up energies.
- Sound Cleansing (Cleanse + Charge)
Place your Jade in a singing bowl & strike the instrument to create sound waves that can purify the energy.
Charging
After cleansing your Jade, you will need to charge it so that it may continue to release its own natural vibrations & energies.
- Sunlight Charging
Place your Jade under direct sunlight (sunrise or sunset) for an hour. This is the best time as the rays of the sun will not be too strong preventing any damage to the Jade. The Yang energy from the sun will energise & charge it.
- Moonlight Charging (Cleanse + Charge)
Place your Jade overnight under direct moonlight (full or waxing moon) The Yin energy from the moonlight is a gentle & nurturing manner to cleanse & charge it.
