Zhong Kui God of Indirect Wealth

Zhong Kui God of Indirect Wealth

Zhong Kui is a Taoist deity in Chinese mythology & is worshipped for multiple reason. Before we touch on the Feng Shui benefits let us begin with his life story…

According to folklore, Zhong Kui is a highly intelligent man who took part in the state-wide imperial examinations held in the capital city of Chang an. Even though he achieved great academic success and topped the exams, he was denied the rightful title of “Zhuang Yuan” (valedictorian) because of his grotesque & appalling appearance.

Feeling extreme grievance, he committed suicide by hurling himself against the palace gates till his head cracked. This was a grave sin thus condemning him to hell. In the Underworld, Yanluo Wang (King of Hell) saw so much potential in Zhong Kui and made him the King of Ghosts. Zhong Kui was tasked to capture, take charge, maintain law & order among all the ghosts. Legend has it that just the sight of him can destroy any evil spirits.

Zhong Kui is often depicted with a big black beard, bulging eyes and a wrathful expression. He is able to command 80,000 demons to do his bidding and is commonly associated with the five bats of fortune.

In Feng Shui, wearing or displaying a Zhong Kui offers multiple benefits…

Indirect Wealth - attract windfall luck (investments, trading, financial gains)

Business & Career - attract opportunities, guidance, eliminate competitors & deflect betrayals

Protection - against evil spirits, negative energy & also safeguard wealth.

Academic Success - increase your wisdom and intuition
